2023 SALESFORCE PARTNER ECOSYSTEM EQUALITY REPORT 3 01 Driving value At Salesforce, our unwavering pursuit of equality for all is an important with our values factor that sets us apart from other companies . Leading with our values enables us to unlock innovation, build deeper connections, and impact change to create long-term value for our people, our customers, and our communities . In 2021, we launched our Equality Initiative to accelerate the growth of our Partner Ecosystem by building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment that reflects the communities in which we live and do business . To progress our efforts to deliver on that commitment, we go beyond programs that identify, hire, and train talent . We extend our efforts to make investments that transform the marketplace with opportunities and resources for a new generation of diverse entrepreneurs . Doing so, empowers them to start and build businesses, which, in turn, allows them to hire newly upskilled talent . This creates an economic pipeline that helps enrich the underrepresented communities we are working to impact . To ensure accountability and clarify our intentions, we have made bold commitments* that are shared throughout this first edition of our Partner Ecosystem Equality Report . We share key findings from our research used to inform the various programs we create to help us achieve our goal toward greater equality for all-with the help of our 11,000+ partners who share our values and our commitment to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive ecosystem . We are committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive ecosystem . Doing so enables us to unlock the kind of ingenuity that can only be powered by diverse perspectives to deliver transformational value for our customers and drive exponential impact for the communities in which we live and do business . We collaborate with our network of partners to effect change across two strategic areas of focus: workforce development and entrepreneurship . We work together to upskill and hire talent from underrepresented groups (URG)* while investing in the growth of underrepresented minority (URM)* entrepreneurs to positively impact the marketplace . *As used in this report, Underrepresented Minorities (URM) refers to ethnic or racial groups whose population is disproportionate to the population in society . Using a hands- on, collaborative learning approach, we provide the tools partners need to successfully build their Salesforce business, including identifying new growth opportunities and building long-lasting relationships . The inaugural cohort of 14 entrepreneurs kicked off in January 2023 . The Salesforce Impact Accelerator is one of a kind. Through this initiative, Salesforce partners are able to pledge and share drive impact actions they are taking to help people succeed, ecosystems thrive, and communities shine . We’re proud to work with an ecosystem of Partners who take the pledge and participate in the program receive access partners who share in our values and work to promotional resources to help share their success stories and inspire alongside us to drive exponential impact in the other ecosystem partners to participate . 2023 SALESFORCE PARTNER ECOSYSTEM EQUALITY REPORT 10 05 Driving transparency & accountability Transparency and accountability are key to honoring our commitment to build an equitable, inclusive and diverse ecosystem . We set ambitious goals to work toward, and we continually review our progress to keep us moving forward . We take a purpose-led and data-driven approach to ensuring the success of our programs . We leverage insights gained from surveys and data to help us understand our program reach and effectiveness . For example, based on our end of year Talent Alliance Diversity Survey, we learned that employers who had pledged to work with Talent Alliance candidates reported that 27% of the hires they made globally in 2022 came from ethnically and/or racially underrepresented groups in technology, 38% of which were women .
